Scope and Applicability.
This instruction is applicable to Navy and Marine Corps personnel who are responsible for inventory policy, management policy, and procedures for the control and accounting of leather flight jackets.
Purpose.
To establish inventory policy, management policy, and procedures for the control and accounting of leather flight jackets. Major revisions focus on clarifying authorized recipients and requisitioning procedures, to include issue, turn-in, and re-issue. This instruction is a complete revision and should be reviewed in its entirety.
