Diese Norm gilt für die Verwendung von Porenbetonsteinen (Plansteine und Planelemente) der Kategorie I nach DIN EN 771-4 für die in Tabelle 4 geregelten Festigkeitsklasse-Rohdichteklasse-Kombinationen für Mauerwerk nach DIN EN 1996 (alle Teile) einschließlich DIN EN 1996/NA (alle Teile), an das Anforderungen hinsichtlich der Standsicherheit, des Wärme-, Schall- und des Brandschutzes gestellt werden können.

Diese Norm gilt nicht für

-  Blocksteine (siehe 3.3);

-  Bauplatten (siehe 3.4)/Planbauplatten (siehe 3.5);

-  Mauerwerk nach DIN 1053-1:1996-11.
