This guidance describes the approach used on the Jubilee and Northern lines of LU and applies to all involved with TBTC/CBTC system support, development and modification.

This guidance should be followed to:

a) improve understanding of the existing system design when supporting or modifying the existing Jubilee and Northern TBTC system

b) consider applicability of this guidance when developing the requirements for new or modified TBTC/CBTC system applications

Purpose

The purpose of this guidance is to capture the lifecycle requirements which were developed for the application of a Transmission Based Train Control (TBTC) system to the Jubilee and Northern lines of the London Underground (LU) network. This guidance is based on the implementation of the SelTrac S40 moving block system.
