This method determines the stress crack resistance of blow molded polyolefin bottles. The test measures the effects of material, blow molding conditions, bottle design, contents and other factors that govern stress crack resistance. The bottles are tested under constant top load conditions at an elevated temperature. The amount of top load required depends on the bottle size, weight and design.
