The requirements of this procedure apply to any individual performing the duties of an ECO or contingent ECO, including directed operators, and those involved in the management of these individuals.
PURPOSE
This procedure sets out the arrangements to be followed in order to train, assess, develop and confirm the competence of those required to perform the duties of an Electrical Control Operator (ECO) or contingent ECO so that the risks of operator error resulting in risk to workforce, public and damage to the electrical system equipment are mitigated.
