This procedure applies to the actions of frontline operational and Network Rail Route Operations Control staff following a report of a fatality on the railway infrastructure and application of incident management (NR/L3/OPS/045/4.04 applies).
PURPOSE
This procedure mitigates the impact on train services and the welfare of response staff following a person struck by a train or person involved in a fatality.
