Classification.

Composition. The steel is furnished in the following compositions, as specified (see 3.1 and 6.2).

Composition 1 - Medium carbon spring steel, low phosphorus, low sulfur.

Composition 2 - Regular medium carbon spring steel.

Composition 3 - High carbon spring steel.

Condition. The steel is furnished in the following conditions:

Composition 1 - Soft type annealed - dead soft.

Composition 2 - Soft type annealed - dead soft.

Composition 3 - Spheroidize annealed type.
