This standard specifies requirements for pressure gauges with Bourdon tubes in coil form (hereinafter referred to as pressure gauges) for measuring pressures for high pressure applications.
This standard applies to pressure gauges that have a dial with a scale and a pointer.
It applies to pressure ranges greater than 1 600 bar1) and to the nominal sizes 100 and 160.
It contains specific test procedures for conducting type and production tests.
The standard also applies to liquid-filled pressure gauges.
The devices are not intended for using with oxygen or acetylene.
It does not apply to pressure gauges for electrical limit signaling.
