scope:

This standard defines a procedure for inspection of technical cleanliness for rolling bearings. It describes in particular measuring methods, measuring techniques and requirements for calibration.

The standard is applicable for all rotating rolling bearings and their individual parts. It is not applicable for linear motion rolling bearings.
