This International Standard describes the Light-Scattering Airborne Particle Counter (LSAPC), which is used for measuring the size, particle number concentration of particles suspended in air. The light scattering technique described in this standard is based on single particle measurements. The typical size range of particles measured by this method is between 0,1 and 10 mm in diameter. Instruments that meet this standard are used for the classification of air cleanliness in cleanrooms and associated controlled environments according to ISO 14644-1 as well as the measurements of number/size distribution of particles in various environments. This standard contains the following aspects; 1) Size calibration 2) Size setting 3) Counting efficiency 4) Size resolution 5) False count rate 6) Maximum particle number concentration 7) Sampling flow rate 8) Sampling time 9) Response time 10) Calibration Interval 11) Test report
