scope:
The standard specifies a method of determining the freedom of ostomy collection bags from leakage of water. The method tests for leakage from joints and the drainage tap, and through the film of which the bag is constructed. The method does not test leakage from the closure system of open-ended bags, vents, filters, vent plugs, the junctions between the parts of multiple piece systems and the interface between the patient's skin and the appliance.
