Bu standard; sabit veya portatif, tek veya cok fazli, havasogutmali (tabii veya cebri) genel amacli kucuk reaktorleri kapsar.Soz konusu kucuk reaktorler alternatif akimli, onceden manyetizeedilmis, akim duzeltmeli, bagimsiz veya birlesik olabilir. Bureaktorlerin beyan besleme gerilimi 1000 V a.a. veya d.a.?yi, beyanfrekansi 1 MHz?i ve beyan gucu; - Tek fazli kucuk reaktorler icin 2kVAR (2 kW d.a.)?yi, - Cok fazli kucuk reaktorler icin 10 kVAR (10kW d.a.)?yi asmamalidir. Bu standard kucuk reaktorlere beyan gucusinirlamasi olmaksizin da uygulanabilir. Ancak bu kucuk reaktorlerozel bobinler sayilir ve alici ile satici arasinda ozel anlasmayapilmasini gerektirir.
