9.3.1 Scope
This test method covers the determination, by means of a glass thermohydrometer, of the density or API gravity of crude petroleum and liquid petroleum products with Reid vapor pressure (ASTM D 323) of 179 kPa (26 psi) or less.
Values are determined at existing temperatures and corrected to 15°C for density or to 60°F for API gravity by using international standard tables.
