This manual is a companion to OPNAVINST 1900.2B, Transition Assistance Management Program (TAMP), and provides a single-source document for the commanding officer, Fleet and Family Service Center (FFSC) and Fleet and Family Support Program (FFSP) transition site staff, command transition officer, installation command and regional career counselor, Montgomery G.I. Bill (MGIB) coordinator, and others involved in the administration and delivery of transition assistance services. Command career counselors should also refer to the Career Counselor Handbook, NAVPERS 15878J. Guidance is provided for all separating and retiring servicemembers, including active component and reserve component servicemembers being released from active duty.
