This chapter covers foundations for refinery equipment, for mechanical equipment, and for various structures (including building structures); structures for supporting and giving access to refinery equipment; and building. It also covers ladders, stairways, walkways, and platforms.

This chapter is not intended to encompass requirements imposed by such regulatory agencies as OSHA*. Structural details pictured or described herein may not be in full accordance with such requirements.
