PURPOSE

The purpose of this Marshall Procedural Requirement (MPR) is to establish the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) Hazardous Chemicals in Laboratories Protection Program also referred to as the Chemical Hygiene Standard in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.

APPLICABILITY

This MPR applies to the personnel, programs, projects, and activities at MSFC and MSFC's Michoud Assembly Facility, including contractors and resident agencies to the extent specified in their respective contracts or agreements. ("Contractors," for purposes of this paragraph, include contractors, grantees, Cooperative Agreement recipients, Space Act Agreement partners, or other agreement parties.) b. This MPR is applicable where laboratory-scale use of chemicals is performed.
