PURPOSE. The purpose of this instruction is to announce revisions of the following forms: General Index or Abstract of Title, CG-1332; and General Index or Abstract of Title Continuation Sheet, CG-1332A, and is for use by Vessel Documentation Officers.

APPLICABILITY. Forms CG-1332 and 1332A are used by documentation personnel to record information concerning the facts of vessel build, ownership transfer, lien and encumbrance information, and court orders affecting the vessel's title. Copies of forms CG- 1332 and 1332A showing information about vessels must be provided to any person upon request and payment of the appropriate fee.
