This instruction applies to NAVAIR Headquarters, business units and competencies and to the Naval Aviation Program Executive Offices supported by NAVAIR when processing DNADs for items restricted from foreign-source acquisition by 10 United States Code (U.S.C.) 2533a ("the Berry Amendment") or 10 U.S.C. 2533b ("Section 2533b").

Purpose.

To set forth Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) procedures for processing Domestic Non-Availability Determinations (DNADs). Terms related to preparation and processing of DNADs are explained in enclosure (1).
