This specification covers internal, removable, non-self-sealing tanks, including tank fittings for use on aircraft.
Classification. The tanks are of the following general types, as specified (see 6.2).
Types. The types of tanks are as follows:
Type I - Metallic.
Type II - Non-metallic, bladder, flexible cell construction.
Class A - Continuously supported.
Class B - Continuously supported tear resistant.
Class C - Intermittently supported.
Type III - Non-metallic, rigid/non-flexible, self-supporting cell construction.
