This report contains information relevant to the operation of the Bearer Independent Call Control (BICC) Protocol, with the AAL type 2 Signaling Protocol, Capability Set 1 (CS1), making use of the AAL type 2 connection signaling model, contained in ITU-T supplement TRQ.2400. Information which is relevant to be exchanged between the BICC signaling entity and the AAL type 2 signaling entity is identified. The dashed box of Figure 1 shows the scope of this report. Information passed between two peer BICC signaling entities is a result of the logic within the BICC signaling entity. Interfaces to Layer Management are outside the scope of this report.

Note: The handling of reuse of idle bearer connections is outside the scope of the present report.
