scope:

The scope of this document is the test vectors for ANSI T1.303-1989 24-, 32- and 40- kbit/s ADPCM algorithms.

Purpose

Previously available test vectors covered the three fixed bit rates (24 kbit/s, 32 kbit/s, 40 kbit/s) for both the A-law and the μ-law operations. Both reset and homing vectors were available for 32 kbit/s ADPCM, but only reset vectors were available for 24- and 40- kbit/s ADPCM. Cross-vectors (A → μ, μ → A) were not provided and the PCM inputs for the A-law did not have their even bits inverted.
