This International Standard specifies the general, and some of the special, requirements on materials used for the construction of equipment used in gas welding, cutting and allied processes.
Additional requirements on materials for some equipment may be given in other standards. This standard
does not deal with materials used for the construction of welding hoses which are specified in ISO 3821.
