Type
This document covers metric bolts and screws made from a corrosion and heat resistant, age hardenable nickel base alloy of the type identified under the Unified Numbering System as UNS N07718. The following specification designations and their properties are covered:
MA3377 1275 MPa minimum ultimate tensile strength at room temperature
1000 MPa minimum ultimate tensile strength at 650 °C
690 MPa stress-rupture strength at 650 °C
720 MPa tension to 72 MPa tension fatigue at room temperature
MA3377-1 1275 MPa minimum ultimate tensile strength at room temperature
765 MPa minimum ultimate shear strength at room temperature
720 MPa tension to 72 MPa tension fatigue at room temperature
Application
Primarily for use in aerospace propulsion systems as follows:
For use up to approximately 650 °C where elevated temperature tensile strength, stress-rupture strength, and resistance to relaxation are required.
For use up to approximately 425 °C where fatigue resistance, tensile strength, and shear strength are required.
Safety - Hazardous Materials
While the materials, methods, applications, and processes described or referenced in this specification may involve the use of hazardous materials, this specification does not address the hazards which may be involved in such use. It is the sole responsibility of the user to ensure familiarity with the safe and proper use of any hazardous materials and to take necessary precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of all personnel involved.
