The standard covers alginate dental impression material used in dentistry for impressions of teeth and tissue in the oral cavity. In the standard requirements are specified for dental materials, which have a substantial content of alginate, and which after dissolution in water according to the producer's directions reacts to a substance suitable for making impressions.
