scope:
Purpose.
This instruction establishes a CJCS-sponsored program of nonotice interoperability exercises (NIEXs) and provides procedures for their planning and execution.
Applicability.
This instruction applies to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Staff, Services, unified commands, Defense agencies, and other federal and civil departments and agencies that are involved in the NIEX program.
