Purpose. In accordance with references a through ll, this instruction establishes policy and assigns responsibilities for the release of papers, books, maps, photographs, machine-readable materials, and any other materials or information, regardless of physical form or characteristics, originated by the Joint Staff and joint military activities (hereinafter referred to individually and collectively as "joint information").
