scope:
Deals with the safety of appliances for skin exposure to ultraviolet or infrared radiation, intended for normal household as well as tanning salon and beauty palour use. Applicance rated voltage being not more than 250 V single phase and 480 V for other appliances. This standard however, in general, does not take into account the use of appliances by - persons (including children) whose * physical, sensory or mental capabilities; or * lack of experience and knowledge prevent them from using the appliance safely without supervision or instruction; - children playing with the appliance.
