scope:
Purpose. To implement reference a by establishing policy for awarding trophies and similar devices to military members and units of the Department of Defense for excellence in accomplishments and competitions contributing to the effectiveness of the military mission and operations.
Applicability. This instruction applies to the Joint Staff, combatant commands and permanently establishes joint commands or activities reporting to or through the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
