Commissioning of Control Systems in Health Care Facilities
|Publication Date:||1 September 1995|
This Standard applies to the commissioning of building control systems in health care facilities. It is a companion document to the other Standards in the CSA Z318 Series of Standards.
This Standard identifies the role of the commissioning team in the design, construction, and implementation of the building control system.
This Standard is intended to assist the commissioning team in the preparation of a commissioning plan. The commissioning plan specifies commissioning requirements and project coordination for newly installed or renovated building control systems. It includes
(a) the human and financial resources required to accomplish commissioning; and
(b) the responsibilities of the commissioning team; and
(c) the timing and integration of the commissioning process.
This Standard does not cover the control devices of stand-alone or specialty medical equipment, eg, the remote controls of an angiography suite, on the premises of a health care facility.
