Digital radiographic images may be produced using radioscopic imaging systems, phosphor imaging plates (computed radiography), or by other means. This Code Case describes a method for converting an accepted digital image to an analog format for archiving purposes by use of a dry film printer.

These provisions refer to Section V, Article 2, Mandatory Appendix VI, Digital Image Acquisition, Display, Interpretation, and Storage of Radiographs for Nuclear Applications, for use of its existing Reference Film design and requirements for demonstrating system performance.

It is the Owner's responsibility to determine that the selected storage medium meets its requirements for retention as a record for the duration required by the referencing Code.
