Railway applications - Measurement of wheel and axle loads - Part 1: Interoperable 'in-service' rail vehicles

inactive
Organization: DS
Status: inactive
Page Count: 34
ICS Code (Railway engineering in general): 45.020
scope:

The scope of this European standard is restricted to the measurement of the quasi static or mean axle loads and the evaluation of asymmetric loading. Other derived quantities covered are vehicle mass and total train mass. The specification is not concerned with the measurement of dynamic axle or dynamic wheel loads. The standard permits the measurement to be made at any speed within the calibrated range which may be up to line speed. The standard also defines how asymmetric loading is to be evaluated.
