PURPOSE
The purpose of this Marshall Procedural Requirements (MPR) is to implement the NASA Workers' Compensation Program described in NPD 1840.1, "NASA Workers' Compensation Program," and NPR 1840.1, "Management of Workers' Compensation Injuries and Illnesses." This MPR prescribes the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) procedural requirements for workplace injuries and illnesses that result in filing a claim for compensation to the Department of Labor, Office of Workers' Compensation Programs (OWCP) for the administration of the Federal Employees' Compensation Act.
APPLICABILITY
This MPR applies to the personnel, programs, projects, and activities at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) and MSFC's Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF), including contractors and resident agencies to the extent specified in their respective contracts or agreements. ("Contractors," for purposes of this paragraph, include contractors, grantees, Cooperative Agreement recipients, Space Act Agreement partners, or other agreement parties.)
