GENERAL
LU Bakerloo line trains operate over NR track (the DC lines) from Kilburn High Road to Harrow and Wealdstone via Queen's Park under Track Agreement T03.
LU Schedules Manager, Events & Closures team and National Rail Agreements team must be notified of LU/MR BCV possessions and closures affecting Bakerloo line operations over Network Rail.
The LU-NR boundaries are at Queen's Park North Shed (north of the station) and Stonebridge Park Depot (north of the station). At Queen's Park station, LU owns the track via platforms 2 & 3; NR owns the track via platforms 1 & 4.
NR maintains a turn-back siding for LU use north of Harrow & Wealdstone station.
The route is also shared by London Overground (LO). Bakerloo line trains use NR track between Queen's Park and Kilburn High Road station for emergency reversing only.
LU assets, including radio communication cables and OPO (one person operation) equipment, are located along the route. NR provides signalling and traction current to LU under the Track Agreement and the route is operated under National Rail network Rail Group Standards (RGS) with which LU complies.
The Metronet BCV Maintenance Planning Manager must seek Network Rail London North Western Territory Outside Party Engineer consent for LU/MR BCV works at the infrastructure boundaries on which affects adjacent NR assets.
Network Rail consent is also necessary for LU possessions if required for works on the shared route and stations north of Queen's Park. Metronet BCV Third Party Engineer Approval is necessary for NR works at the infrastructure boundaries or which affects LU assets either adjacent or along the shared route.
NR applications for Third Party Engineer approval should be sought, in the first instance, from the LU Infrastructure Protection Manager and not from Metronet BCV.
LU consent is necessary for NR possessions on the shared DC lines route north of Queen's Park which might impact on LU train services or assets (including at stations) or on NR signalling and power supply services shared by LU and LO.
