scope:

This European Standard applies to extrusion presses from the exit side of the heater through associated handling, cooling and quenching equipment including, e.g. the puller, the hot saw, the run-out table, the stretcher, the cold saw, cold saw table and/or coiler when incorporated into the equipment, to a point where the extruded product is passed to associated finishing equipment. It specifies the health and safety requirements at all stages in the life of the equipment, its design, ordering, construction, use and disposal.
