Aim
This Manual and the provisions submitted are prepared as a supplement to STANAG 4385 (120 mm x 570 ammunition for smooth bore tank guns) and must be considereed integral to that STANAG.
The aim of this Manual is to describe the qualification tests or procedures essential for checking the interoperability (within the meaning of STANAG) of 120mm ammunition and to define the inspection procedures to quarantee the interoperability characteristics of stored ammunition in course of time.
