This specification covers the system and acceptance requirements for a Digital Electronic Control Unit (DECU), herein referred to as the "assembly". The assembly provides fuel handling and vehicle interface capabilities for the AGT 1500 gas turbine engine. The AGT 1500 is used in the M1, M1A1, M1A2 and Heavy Assault Bridge (HAB) applications.

Classification. This specification applies to the following classification types of assemblies (see 1.3).

Type I - 12324815 includes space for a MIL-STD-1553 data bus, an integral backup battery and a diagnostic window (M62421-1).

Type Ia - 12324815-1 includes space for a MIL-STD-1553 data bus, a removeable backup battery, and a diagnostic window (M62421-2).

Type II - 12324820 includes a MIL-STD-1553 data bus, a removeable backup battery, and does not include a diagnostic window (M62421-3).
