This standard specifies dimensions, test methods and requirements for sealed and non sealed heat shrinkable tubings. There is no international or national equivalent to this standard.

Mission / Theme. The shrink tube is intended to be used as protection for splice connections, ring terminals or wherever a protected cover is needed.

Classification.

Temperature Classes. Different shrink tube classes are defined in Table 1 to respond to the various temperatures encountered on vehicles.
