| Organization: | PTI |
| Publication Date: | 1 April 2003 |
| Status: | inactive |
| Page Count: | 72 |
scope:
This guide specification provides minimum requirements for the selection, design and installation of cementitious grouts and ducts for steel post-tensioned systems used in concrete construction.
The purpose of the grout is to provide corrosion protection to the prestressing steel and in bonded P-T applications to develop bond between the prestressing steel and the surrrounding concrete.
This specification covers only cementitious grouts; other corrosion protection materials such as polymers, waxes, and greases are not addressed.
Vacuum grouting is beyond the scope of this document. For those interested in this area refer to European and British documents.
