This Recommendation provides a brief introduction to the modelling of IN CS-4 Functional Entities (FE). It also describes aspects of the protocol that are common to all interfaces. This includes physical examples of interface interconnection, services assumed from lower layers (e.g. TCAP), IN security information and the common data types used on all the interfaces.
