Organization: IEC
Publication Date: 1 March 2000
Status: inactive
Page Count: 34
ICS Code (Relays): 29.120.70
scope:

This part of IEC 60255 specifies the general requirements for the measurement of radio-frequency emissions emanating from measuring relays and protection equipment for power system protection, including the control, monitoring and process interface equipment used with such systems. It is based on CISPR 22 (see annex A).

The limits of acceptable conducted and radiated emissions are specified and test procedures described.

The object of the tests is to confirm that the equipment being tested will not cause conducted or radiated emissions above specified levels which might affect the satisfactory operation of other equipment.

Any equipment or part of equipment which has the primary function of radio transmission and/or reception is excluded from this standard.

The requirements specified in this document are applicable to measuring relays and protection equipment in a new condition, and all tests specified are type tests only.
