scope:
This specification covers the general requirements for twistable and nontwistable, flexible waveguide assemblies (hereinafter referred to as "assemblies") (see 6.1).
Assemblies shall be of the following classes, as specified (see 3.1 and 6.4):
Class Performance characteristics 1 - Twistable (mates with rigid rectangular waveguide components). 2 - Nontwistable (mates with rigid rectangular waveguide components). 3 - Extra-flexible, twistable (mates with rigid rectangular waveguide components). 4 - Twistable (mates with single ridged waveguide components). 5 - Twistable (mates with double ridged waveguide components). 6 - Nontwistable (mates with single ridged waveguide components). 7 - Nontwistable (mates with double ridged waveguide components). 8 - Nontwistable flexible millimeter waveguide (mates with rigid rectangular waveguide components).
The military part number shall consist of the letter "M" followed by the basic number of the specification sheet, an assigned dash number (see 3.1), and a coded four-digit number indicating the length.
