Purpose. To define Joint Unmanned Aircraft System Minimum Training Standards (JUMTS) and identify the minimum knowledge required for an unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) crewmember (UASC) to support joint force commanders' (JFC) objectives.

Applicability. This Instruction applies to Joint Staff, combatant commands, Services, and Defense agencies conducting, contracting, and supporting UAS operations.
