Description of Driving Event:

During ground operations at KSC, the first United States Microgravity Laboratory (USML-1) experienced canister fit problems with the LiOH flight storage containers. This resulted in significant overtime and nearly caused delay of the orbiter move to the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB). The cause of the problem was that a fit check of the canisters in container foam was not done in the flight configuration at Huntsville, Alabama.
