Description of Driving Event:

Criteria for design, performance, launch commit, and other operations have used "ambient" conditions as a reference or base for evaluating systems which could be affected by environmental conditions. the term "ambient" is not specific and, subsequently, results in misinterpretation. Ambient conditions are a specific set of conditions and should be measured at specific locations and clarified as to the effects of time of day, wind velocities and direction, etc.
