Description of Driving Event:

International travelers should be prepared to deal with grounding problems that have been experienced by NASA personnel. As an example, several personnel have been electrically shocked while working at the Star City Training Complex and other Russian facilities. Improper or compromised grounding of 220v AC circuits has been found in these reported cases. [While highly unusual for 220v, this event is known to occur in American facilities on occasion.] Verification of grounds has been difficult in some cases, prompting the need for installation of independent ground to earth grounds.
