Description of Driving Event:

On September 25, 1987, The solid rocket motor (SRM) aft segment was being mated to the aft segment handling ring in the H77-0386 stand. The SRM segment and handling ring assembly was hoisted from the stand and moved to the breakover beam. The handling ring was mated to the breakover beam and the SRM segment was tilted to the horizontal position and placed on the rail car. At this time it was noticed that a total of six bolts were missing from the SRM end-ring assembly. It is unknown when or who removed the bolts.
