Description of Driving Event:

A fire occurred on November 27, 1982 at the Arnold Engineering Development Center as a result of cutting propellants on the floor of a vertical test cell. The propellant being cut was from M-X Stage II and was a Class 1.3,88 weight percent solids, HTPB, Non-HMX type. Combustion was attributed to either impact or friction.
