Description of Driving Event:

The orbiter PRSD system provides GH2/GO2 for fuel cell operation. The PRSD H2 T-0 umbilical vent is installed to support controlled venting of the PRSD H2 system during convoy operations. The umbilical vent is connected to the backpressure relief panel by flexhoses. Pressure must be maintained on the PRSD manifold during fuel cell cool down until vent stack and condenser exit temperatures are within 15 degrees Fahrenheit of ambient. Fixed hydrogen leak detection sensors monitor the fuel cell servicing/deservicing system areas for H2 leaks which could result in damage to vehicle/facility or personnel injury.
