Description of Driving Event:

An employee placed wadded paper towels soaked with linseed oil inside their vehicle on the floorboard pending later disposal. The paper towels ignited and caused a fire in the vehicle. The fire was extinguished before any major damage. Further inspection of the area found wadded paper towels soaked with linseed oil that were disposed in a trash container. The trash container bag was retrieved and the paper towels were disposed properly before a fire could ignite. The paper towels retrieved were extremely warm to the touch, indicating spontaneous combustion had already begun.
