Description of Driving Event:

A contractor employee was working on an energized electrical sub-panel.(480v) While removing cover from above the busses the employee dropped the cover shorting out the busses. An arch and flash occurred slightly burning the employee's hands. The main breaker tripped causing an uncontrolled shutdown of the equipment. The interior of the panel was damaged requiring replacement of interior parts.
